At House of Inspired, our greeting cards are never meant to be thrown away like so many others. Here, they are frame-able art meant to last.
On the cover of this card, you will find a unique drawing done by, the one and only French artist, Claude Monet in 1855/56. He titled this piece Caricature of a Man with a Big Cigar. Claude Monet, primarily known for his landscapes and scenes of outdoor leisure activities, is less recognized for sketches of people, as his focus was mainly on capturing the effects of light and color in nature. However, in his early career, Monet did produce figurative works and portraits that showcased his keen observation of human subjects and their environments. These works, though not as prolific as his landscapes, offer insight into his skills in capturing the subtleties of human expression and form. This drawing, using white, black and colored chalks on blue wove paper, is sure to impress anyone. It is timeless. It is perfection. It's Monet.
This is THE card to celebrate any special occasion like a birthday, a promotion, a graduation, a wedding, or anything else.
